Andrew had a basketball tournament in Odgen last Saturday. First his team had a game up here in Cache Valley at 11:00 a.m. but it started late because of the previous game. So there game started at about 11:25 a.m. They were supposed to be in Ogden for their first game of the tournament at 1:00 p.m. Well that wasn't going to happen, so we called to get the game held until we could get there. They won their game in Cache Valley then left at 12:30 p.m. to head down to Odgen. They got out of the cars and went right in and started to play. The teams they were playing were from Utah and one was from Nevada. They were a mixture of 7th-8th grades. We only have 7th graders on our team. The other teams were HUGE in comparison. They played at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30. So basically they played 4 games straight. My parents were able to attend (we had 2 other basketball games with Connor and Cole at home so we stayed with them) and they said they looked like the walking dead by the end of the last game. They were chugging powerade and gatorade like there was no tomorrow. They were a few bumps and bruises but nothing serious in the way of injuries so that was good. Oh by the way we only had 6 players in Ogden. So there wasn't a lot of rest for any of the players. That is called ENDURANCE!!! They won all 3 games and won the tournament. They were so excited to get a trophy. We have been so close in so many tournaments it was nice to finally come out on top!
